Simple phrases are the craving of every word architect. Every author.
Every ad agency looking to maximize “the sell.”
Every agent of change wants vision to stick in the heart and mind, not just the short-term memory, to be jettisoned later.
The simple, but memorable nugget of truth is what they seek.
I read this again the other day and I’m struck by the beauty, simplicity and profound truth it conveys. As you mull it over, think about what it looks like to SHINE in a world that needs more light. “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.”
~St. Francis of Assisi
What does this stir in you? What’s the implications?
Jesus said to his followers: “you are the light of the world.” -Matthew 5:14
Darkness can’t extinguish light. However, light eradicates darkness.
Friends, remember that old children’s song: “I’m going to let it shine, let it shine, let it shine – all the time…”
