Sometimes a picture or story captures vision better than any sermon or lecture.
We talk a lot about what ‘biblical community’ should look like. That we’re encouraged in Scripture to intertwine our lives – that the connected life is better than the surrounded life. Connected means: “I’m in your corner” and you’re in mine. We uplift and give life into each other’s existence. Encouraging one another to become more and more who God is calling us to be.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. ~Hebrews 10:23-25
We as followers of Jesus can be reminded of this ‘calling’ by a Spring football game and a play that captures ‘community.’
This is That.
